Yes, I signed up for the Sheffield School of Interior Design course. Please, do not sign up for this yourself until you've read this review.

Before I signed up I searched everywhere for feedback from students who have taken the course and couldn't find anything. Now I understand why.

The course they send you on CD and DVD must have been filmed in the late 70s/early 80s! It's at least 30 years old. Actually, after listening to the hours of CDs (I will admit I haven't watched all the DVDs) I would have sworn they were recorded in the 60's - think Breafast at Tiffany's time period. But in one of the later CDs one of the "deans" mentions Luke Skywalker (don't ask) so they were a least produced after 1978 - but I doubt by much.

Here's the deal. The principles of design really don't change and the course does give a good overview of the foundation. But if you are going to spend hours with a course, don't you want it to be with design that is more up to date and current.

3. When painting walls, make sure you hire the right painter. The right painter may need to spend weeks smoothing and repairing your walls before they even start painting.

The information in the course is designed for people with huge budgets decorating pre-war apartments in New York City in 1980. It's dated and the images they provide are so old it embarassing.

This "school" seriously needs to update their course to reflect design in the 21st century. It's rediculous that they are charging so much money for out-of-date information.

These two sisters are about to embark on their greatest travel adventure yet. Last year they survived scuba diving with white tipped reef sharks in Costa Rica. This year they'll be traveling on tuk tuks to temples over a 1000 years old.
